If there’s anything that truly speeds up my beauty routine, it’s the tools in my makeup bag. It’s been a long minute since we last talked about makeup brushes, so I wanted to give you guys an update on the newer ones I’ve added to my stash since my last post here. The good news is, brands have really leveled up, which means you don’t have to break your budget for a flawless beauty routine. Read on to discover the affordable makeup brushes from Amazon that’ll disrupt your beauty routine!

Ok, so these aren’t exactly brushes, but they’ve completely changed the game when it comes to sponges. I prefer this over the Beauty Blender because it doesn’t sheer out coverage. It also doesn’t hold as much water, which means less smearing and absorbing of product. Plus, it’s only $6 for one (here) or $20 for 4 (here) versus the $20 price tag for one Beauty Blender. You can also use this sponge dry to apply powder products!

Beauty Junkees Flat Top Kabuki Makeup Brush, $11.97

If you’re not into sponges, then I’m sure you know that a good brush makes all the difference. What makes this kabuki brush unique is that it’s incredibly dense and full, which allows it to pick up and distribute makeup better. It also applies product effortlessly, giving your skin a natural, airbrushed look. Grab it now and thank me later.

Beauty Junkees Undereye Concealer Brush, $8

This brush is basically a mini version of the one above and it’s been the best thing ever to getting my concealer to look flawless. The smaller size allows you to get into those hard-to-reach areas and it’s also great for buffing concealer across your lids if you’re into that. I find that my concealer creases less when I use this tool.

Real Techniques Powder Brush, $7.49

I’m sure you all have heard the hype about Real Techniques by now. Although you can find these brushes at Ulta and Target, the prices on Amazon really can’t be beat. This powder brush is the perfect size for distributing loose powder evenly across the face. It does provide lighter coverage which is expected in setting powders. And despite being made from synthetic hair, they’re so soft you can’t even tell.

vela.yue Pro Bronzer Brush, $9.99

I love this brush for its unique shape – it’s perfect for getting into the hollows of your cheeks and around the edges for contouring. It also delivers a diffused yet even application that looks natural and flawless. I’ll sometimes even apply blush with it and love how I can get a perfect wash of color right on the apples of my cheeks.

Beauty Junkees Flat Angled Contour Makeup Brush, $8

If you’re into precision contouring or highlighting at all, then this brush is going to be your best friend. It’s idea for applying a highlight right underneath the brow bone or creating more definition along the bridge of the nose.

vela.yue Angled Blush Brush, $9.99

For blush and highlighter, you can’t go wrong with this angled brush. It’s soft, fluffy and blends out product effortlessly. I’ll often use it to apply highlighter first, then go over it with blush. The angled shape is perfect for faking supermodel bone structure!

Lamora Blending Brush Kit, $10.95

Getting your eyeshadow right is all about blending! This amazing kit comes with four different blending brushes for less than $11 – yet each brush feels surprisingly expensive and luxe. I’m a fan of the different options because you can essentially create any eyeshadow look from everyday neutrals to an evening smoke out.

Accessories

If you own makeup brushes, then you definitely need cleaning supplies. Most people have no idea how to clean their makeup brushes. To start, I recommend this brush shampoo – it’s less than $5, eco-friendly, hypoallergenic, and extremely effective. It leaves my brushes feeling soft and clean in just one application. I use it in tandem with this brush egg or this silicone pad to get every speck of makeup out. They work way better than your hands and fingers – and those brushes will come out looking brand new!
