Sunscreen is something I wear year-round, but it becomes even more crucial for me in the spring and summertime when I tend to spend more time outdoors. I oftentimes find it baffling when I come across people who don’t believe in wearing SPF daily because it’s one of my foolproof treatments against premature aging. Rain or shine, the sun still emits rays that are harmful for the skin. While I would agree that sunscreen can sometimes smell funny, look ghostly, or feel tacky on the skin, I think it all comes down to finding the right product.
I started out this season wearing the Olay Sun Face Sunscreen + Shine Control with SPF 35 moisturizer and wanted to tell you guys all about it. I’ve been reaching for it every day and love how it’s even helped speed up my morning routing. It comes without that greasy, oily feel and gives off a finish that looks like your natural skin. If you’re having a hard time wearing sunscreen every day, here are 3 quick and easy ways to make sunscreen a part of your daily routine:
1. Wear it as a primer
The Olay Sun Face Sunscreen Shine Control can act as a primer to prep your skin for makeup. To me, nothing beats multitaskers on a busy morning. The fact that this product acts like a sunscreen, skincare product, and makeup base makes it a winner for me. It’s packed with niacinamide, which restores and replenishes the skin. The final effect is a smooth and matte finish that’s all set for makeup.
2. Add a drop of foundation
If you want to take that multi-tasking step even further, all you need to do is add a drop of your favorite foundation to turn this sunscreen into a self-made tinted moisturizer.
I typically don’t like to wear a full face of foundation every day.
Mixing my favorite products together helps me achieve a sheer, flawless finish that looks like skin.
3. Wear it alone
I’m sometimes a minimalist in my day to day routine – and want the least amount of product on my skin. On those days, I just wear this sunscreen alone and add a bit of concealer where I need coverage. It’s lightweight, dries quick, and keeps my skin hydrated – everything I want on a busy day of running errands.
No matter what you’re doing or where you’re going, remember that SPF is essential for your skin’s health! Let me know what your favorite sunscreens are in the comments below!
