Have you ever wanted to know what’s really inside the makeup bags of women in the fashion industry? Now you can with WhoWhatWear UK’s Show Me The (Makeup) Money series. I was featured on it a few weeks ago (full post here) but wanted to personally share the full contents of my makeup bag with you guys too! It’s so hard for me to narrow down my favorites to just a few since there are so many good ones. However, these are the products I find myself reaching for time and time again, especially when I’m traveling. Here’s what’s in my makeup bag…

Starting with the bag itself, I’ve been loving this lay-n-go bag from Amazon. No more fumbling and digging to find the product you need. This one opens up onto a flat surface so you can lay everything out and pack it up in pinch. The silver color also makes it super easy to spot out!

Dr. Jart Ceramidin Cream, $48

I have used this facial cream for years now because it’s so lightweight and hydrating. It’s never irritated my skin or caused it to break out. I use this year-round regardless of where I’m headed because it also creates the perfect base for makeup.

Dior Backstage Face & Body Foundation, $40

Foundation is essential in my makeup routine especially if I have an event or dinner to attend. I love this Dior foundation for its skin-like finish, which only gets better throughout the day. If you prefer higher coverage, it’s also buildable but never looks too heavy or cakey.

Make Up Forever HD Concealer, $28

This concealer is the best high-coverage concealer I’ve ever used. It’s incredibly long lasting and provides amazing coverage over blemishes and dark under eye circles. I love how it doesn’t crease or sink into fine lines.

Tatcha Luminous Skin Mist, $48

I also always carry the Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist for an instant skin refresher. It’s great for prepping the skin before makeup and smoothing out my makeup throughout the day. It always leaves me with a radiant and dewy glow.

Make Up For Ever Artist Pencil, $18

This product is my go-to when I’m pressed for time. It’s a multi-purpose product for lips, eyebrows, eyeliner, blush, and contouring. The soft texture makes it easy to blend out over the eyelids and it glides beautifully over the lips. It’s the best $18 you’ll ever spend in your beauty routine!

Tom Ford Lumiere Lip, $55

When I need something moisturizing, I’m always reaching for the Tom Ford Lumiere Lip Color. It enhances my natural lip color, but also works as a topper without smearing the underlying lipstick when my lips feel dry.

MAC Retro Matte Liquid Lip Color, $22

There’s nothing I love more than a matte lip – and I swear by MAC’s Retro Matte Liquid Lip Color. It’s super long lasting and wears evenly and smoothly while making my lips full and plump.

Givenchy’s Prisme Blush Highlight & Structure Powder Blush Duo, $46

I rely on the Givenchy Prisme Blush Highlight & Structure Powder Duo to bring life and color into my complexion. The texture is so creamy and looks super natural. I typically use colors on the left as a blush, the ones on the right as a highlighter – but will also mix them together for a fresh glow.

Hourglass Veil Setting Powder, $46

I have oily/combination skin, so I tend to get shiny throughout the day. I always keep this setting powder in my makeup bag to keep shine to a minimum. It’s so silky smooth, lightweight, and blurs out the skin for a flawless finish. You can try the mini version for just $20 here.

Beautycounter Brow Gel, $24

I don’t have much hair on my eyebrows but this brow gel makes me feel otherwise! It gives natural definition while keeping the hairs in place. And it’s not too wet, which helps shape the brows and colors them to create a fuller yet natural look.

Beautycounter Eyeshadow Palette, $50

For my everyday eyeshadow, I use this eyeshadow palette in the color Classic. I love neutral tones and this one is perfect because the colors are so flattering on my skin and easy to blend out. It’s also super pigmented and versatile – the colors can be mixed and matched to create various looks.

I believe the Nars x Erdem Mattifying Blotting Papers were limited edition and are no longer available. But I wish Nars would bring this back as a permanent part of the line. I always keep a stash on hand to help reduce shine when I don’t want to powder up. If you guys know where I can get my hands on these, please let me know in the comments!

Oribe Mistifying Restyling Spray, $22

I don’t keep much on hand for my hair but when I do, it’s Oribe Mistify Restyling Spray. This product serves as an effective heat protectant, but it also does wonders holding up second day hair. I love how full and bouncy my hair looks after spraying this in.

M-61 Fast Blast Cleansing Cloths, $24

To remove my makeup, I swear by the M-61 Fast Blasting Cleansing cloths. It removes makeup efficiently with minimal tugging and is also infused with antioxidants and AHAs, which help exfoliate, brighten and clarify the skin. I never travel without a few packets of this stuff – and it’s so ideal for flights!

Pathology Smartmud Mask, $30

I can’t live without my face masks. The Pathology Smartmud Mask detoxifies the skin and tightens pores. It never strips the skin of moisture and works effectively when my skin feels congested from traveling. The best part is, it comes in sheet form, making it travel friendly.
